Good Monday Morning!!!  Sorry we didn’t post over the weekend.  Last week was a busy week.  The 7th graders got to march at Friday night’s football game.  So my son, Jacob, and Michele’s daughter, Allie, were so excited.  They had a blast, but it was very nerve racking for us parents.  But we did get a little time to craft Friday morning.  The paper baskets we made for a swap I’m doing on  It gave us a chance to use the Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die (113484) from Stampin’ Up (check out my Stampin’ Up page on my blog to order your own Big Shot).  They turned out so cute!!!!  I think the red and white one with brown reminds me of a reindeer.  The spiders are made with a peppermint patty in the middle.  I think they are so adorable.  I decided I’m going to tie them on the little tins that I made for Caleb’s teachers and then I’m gong to make one for each of the kids in his Kindergarten class.   I just took the small tins and tied ribbon on them, filled them with the fall flavors of Hershey Kisses, included the pens I made (pictured on our blog last week) and tied the spider on handle……..ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!   Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!!!   Wendy

Supplies for Baskets:  Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die (SU 113484), very Christmas Paper (or any paper design), Ribbon, Terrifically Tacky Tape, crimped strips of paper to stuff in them, and fill with goodies.

Supplies for Spiders: Black & Orange Cardstock, Scallop Circle Punch (SU 109043), Photo Corners Punch (SU 109042), Peppermint Patties, Googly eyes, double sided tape, silver cord

Pumpkin Patch

Posted by creativemindsstampalike on October 24, 2008

Hey everyone!!!!!!  I wanted to share a couple of cards with you that I made today.  I was inspired to make these after visting The Pumpkin Patch with Caleb’s kindergarten class yesterday.  We had a lot of fun!!  He got to ride a pony, pet a pig, and he slid down a huge slide (with Mrs. Jones), and we went on a hayride and all the kids got to pick out a pumpkin….he found a perfect little pumpkin and was so excited.  Hope you like my two new cards….I made them with my new Stampin’ Up stamps, Happy Blessings.  I love them.  I just added a little color to them with my water color pencils.  I’m new to this stamping thing, so I am very proud of them.  Also, the pens I have made for Caleb’s teachers for a little fall gift.  (Have to give Michele credit for the idea) I did them in our school colors.  They turned out really cute too.  Hope everyone is having a great evening.  Happy Fall Ya’ll…..Wendy 🙂

Recipe for both card:  Stamps-Happy Blessings set for Stampin’ Up, Cardstock from Stampin’ Up, Ribbon-in coordinating color (1st card), tag maker (2nd card), water color pencils

Good Morning Stampers,

We hope all of you are having a good morning and have your creative juices flowing.  Wendy and I were up late visiting many different blogs and needless to say we had our minds working too late at night.  We can’t wait to stamp/make some of the ideas we saw.  I can’t believe that it is already the 21st day of October, it’s almost time to get those Christmas cards made.  (I have too many ideas and not enough time).  Today we would like to share with you some Halloween cards that I made over the weekend.  Hope you enjoy them.  If you have any questions please email me and we will help you anyway we can.  Also, leave some comments so we know what you think.  Hope all of you have a GREAT NIGHT AND COME VISIT AGAIN SOON!  Christmas ideas coming soon!!

Ribbon Buckets

Posted by creativemindsstampalike on October 19, 2008

This a really cute idea.  Michele made these.  She is making them for party favors for a birthday party, teachers gifts, etc.  I made some for my son’s teachers for Halloween, using orange and silver buckets and different fall color ribbons, and I’m going to fill them with the fall flavor kisses.  We took the tin buckets you can get at Hobby Lobby (Target had the small ones in the dollar bins in orange, silver and black) and tied cordinating ribbons around the handles.  This makes a really great, quick gift.

1- Junior legal pad
1- scallop punch out of DP to match color of cardstock Ex: birthday, autumn, Christmas, etc
1-3 pop dots
1- 1 3/4″ circle punch of the same color of your 12×12 paper
1- 1″ circle punch-color to stamp on

letter stamps (I used stamps from HL)
Place red tape on back of legal pad and on top of the binding of the legal pad. Line up the top of jr legal pad with the bottom score line.  Place each end of the ribbon on top of each piece of tape to form a straight line.  Trim ribbon to fit tight and tie knot with remaining piece of ribbon on right side. (see picture)  Fold over and tape down.  Place scalloped circles on left side.

Wrap tp roll with DP and tape shut.  Gather one end together and tie with one piece of ribbon.  Stuff your roll with your treats and gather opposite end and tie with other piece of ribbon.  Take your 2×31/2 piece of solid paper scallop or corner round the edges and stamp with themed stamp.  Place 4 pop dots on back of solid paper and place in center of roll.  Enjoy!!!
* I stuffed my rolls with DumDum suckers & Smarties… you could use any type of small candy, toy, or prize to go in the roll.
These could be used at a childs birthday party, Christmas party or a name plate at a Christmas dinner.
